This is my take on the classical italian drop spindle.
So far I have made only replicas of the antique ones I own, this time I decided to add a modern twist and my own touch to them. A little vine wraps around the top of the spindle, with leaves painted in gold.

The shape is the replica of the smallest antique spindle I have found so far, and it’s a charm for spinning fine thread.
